An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Arabic & Islamic Supervisor to shape, implement, and evaluate the educational strategy across sections, while promoting a strong culture of excellence aligned with GEMS Core Values and the ethos of The Millennium School.
Key Responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning, assessment, and curriculum planning in line with best practices
Develop, support, and monitor action plans at cluster and school levels
Design and deliver impactful professional development, including coaching and follow-up monitoring
Collaborate with other departments to align Arabic and Islamic practices with whole-school best practices
Implement phase/school improvement plans to achieve agreed targets
Ensure robust assessment systems and effective use of data
Oversee documentation, evidencing, and compliance processes
Support school leadership with performance evaluations for teachers and Heads of Department
Develop strategies to enhance parental engagement across phases
Promote effective adoption of digital tools and platforms
Ensure compliance with recruitment, curriculum, and regulatory requirements
Lead and manage the team during KHDA Annual School Inspections
Lead and develop the Emirati team, fostering performance, growth, and collaboration
Organise and manage school events, programmes, and assemblies
Ensure adherence to all GEMS policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct
Qualifications & Experience
B.A. in Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Education, or B.Ed.
Minimum 3 years in a leadership role (HOD, Pedagogy Coach, or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
Proven impact on Arabic and/or Islamic improvement in schools
Experience as a middle or senior leader
Strong communication skills and leadership presence
Ability to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team on SIP and SEF
Familiarity with UAE curriculam, external inspections, and current educational trends
Fluency in Arabic and English
